Eswatini · Jozini Dam
An intimate safari lodge on the shores of the Jozini Dam, set deep within a wild African game reserve.
Sawubona
Sondela — meaning "come closer" in siSwati — is a private safari lodge cradled between the still waters of the Jozini Dam and the wild folds of the Lubombo mountains. Here, the rhythm of the bush sets the pace: elephants drink at dawn, fish eagles call across the lake, and the African sun melts into the dam each evening.
Set inside a working game reserve home to elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo and a wealth of other wildlife, every moment at Sondela is an invitation to come closer — to the wild, and to yourself.
The Experience
Track elephant, buffalo, leopard, rhino and more across a vast private reserve with seasoned local guides.
Drift across one of Africa's most spectacular freshwater lakes — hippos, crocs and tigerfish below, eagles above.
Open-fire feasts under acacia trees, sunset sundowners on the deck, and breakfasts served as the bush wakes.
Glimpses
"In Eswatini's last wild corner, the dam mirrors the sky and the bush keeps its secrets."
